MICHEL ANGE FLEURANT
Michel Ange is an inspiration to this business everyday. In the 2010 earthquake, Michel Ange lost everything- her home, a huge chunk of her friends and neighbors, and most of her belongings. She lived in a tent for two years, raised her son, and invested every dime she made on his education. Since working with Haiti's Jewels she has bought land, built two homes (one for herself and another for her best friend who was in a dire situation), and invested in other business ventures. She says that one of the most rewarding parts of her job is finally being able to return favors to all of her friends and family that once supported her. Go Michel Ange!
“The biggest reason why I began making jewels was to support my son, Dawins. He is the love of my life. My greatest duty in life is to be an excellent mother to my children and, if I am able, to be the parent of a child who has no family. I haven't had an opportunity to meet all of the people who buy the jewelry I make... but I want to thank them personally for supporting the future of my family."
